hey, so glad I saw your post on IF, now I have a new blog to drool over... this piece is great too. i agree with jason on the deco period influence, something about the type and the cream background. I love that background pattern.

Okay Paul, I absolutely love it!!! I definitely want a "larger email" of it so I can get it printed and frame that action. The style and design reminds me of either the 1920's or 40's art deco period. The national parks have kind of recreated that nostalgic art with posters of the artwork. I could be talking completely out of my butt here. I really like it though.

I hope you continue to create a series of these "lawn gnomes and lawn games" artpieces. Somehow, I was brainstorming and thought you, in your limitless spare time, could do a gnome playing Bocce, a gnome promoting lawn darts, for Townsend a gnome playing ring toss, maybe even horseshoes. I would stick with the former. A series like this would help you continue to "work on this style of yours."

Thanks for you smile from creating this and using the talent God has given you. Look forward to hanging out with you and your wife soon!

Nice!
I hope he doesn't step on his beard and fall over.
He might have a really hard time getting up, if he hits nose-first on soft ground.
